Lead Pastor:  Jerry Trewern

Personal Information:  Born in 1962 in Silver City, NM.  I have one older brother, a younger brother and a younger sister. (Yes, that makes me a "middle child".)  My wife and I met in Cottonwood, Arizona in 1974 and began dating in 1982.  We were married in 1984 and had our only son, Remington (aka RJ)  in 1991.  He is currently attending the University of Arizona.  We have been in full-time ministry since our marriage.  We moved on our honeymoon to our first ministry position and moved to Catalina to Pastor Mountain View in 1999.

School: The University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Waxahachie, TX

Home Life:  I love spending time with my wife and son.  We enjoy camping, fishing, cycling, hiking, playing games and watching TV together.  The key word is together.  We spend a lot of time together and my family are my best friends.

Hobbies and Passions:  coffee, cycling, camping, catching fish, kayaking, creating wildlife art, crafting sermons, coining phrases and cracking wise. (Oh, and I guess alliteration.) 

Music:  Paul Baloche, Audio Adrenaline, Hillsong United, Matt Redman, Lincoln Brewster and O.C. Supertones.

TV: The Office, Man vs Wild, Survivor, The Tour de France and Everybody Loves Raymond reruns.

Sports:  The University of Arizona Wildcats - Bear Down!

Ministry Passion:  Communicating God's Word in a way that compels others to make personal application and watching God partner with individuals to change their life.  I love the local church and believe in its mission to bring Christ to the community.

 

Associate Pastor:  Jim Trewern

Pastor Jim was born in Silver City, NM in 1936.  He married Jan in 1958 shortly after attending Central Bible College in Sprinfield, MO.  They have 4 children.

Jim pastored in New Mexico for 11 years before serving in the New Mexico District Office of the Assemblies of God as the Youth and Christian Education Director for 5 years.  He then pastored in Arizona for 12 years before serving in the Arizona District Office as the District Secretary/Treasurer for 13 years.  He has be semi-retired since 2000.
